Configure a dialup account in Windows XP
Click Start, and then click Control Panel. On the left hand side of the window that appears, if you see a link that says “Switch to Classic View”, click it. If you don’t see this link, you are already in classic view. Next, click the icon that says Network Connections. At the next window, there will be a link that says, “Create a new connection”. Click on this link to start the new connection wizard, and then click next.

Make sure your screen matches the one pictured above, and then click Next.

Choose to set up your connection manually, and then click next. At the next screen you will choose to connect using a dialup modem, and then click next. The next screen will ask you to name your connection. This name can be anything you like, but choose a name that will properly identify it (Ricknet, Online Door County, etc). Click next again and you should be looking at screen similar to this one.

Here you will type in the number given to you by Online Door County, and then click next.

Enter the username and password given to you by Online Door County, and then click next. Then click Finish and you’re done!
